Are there any caveats to these two speakers that I should be aware of? I like the sound of both, but would like toknow some cons of each speaker. I have read the Monitor Audio's tend to have bass problems. Any other such issues or facts that would push one speaker ahead of another? Thanks. |

H, what 'problems' would you attribute to the MA's? |

Well, none that I could find at the hifi shop I checked the Monitors out at. However, reviews and forums show some kind of minor issue concerning "too much" bass in certain rooms, but I guess the answer will be unconclusive until I actually order a pair. |

Well, H, you seem to have auditioned the speakers yourself, did you find the bass boomy? No, you said you like them. Placement is 50% of a speakers performance, a very good pair of speakers can be made boomy, thin, or any other descriptive with placement. Can you not try a pair at home without ordering, or will you return them if they do not fit your taste? If you can take home the demo's, find out how many hours are on them. The more the better, right? |
