Received this unit free from a friend, have no manual, no sound through speakers, no sound through headphones, no clue! Every thing works otherwise, what am I missing here! Thanks for your replies! Greg

well greg your #1 problem is Sony!! no really have you heard the receiver before your friend gave it to you?
