is there any talk or seperate amps out there that have digital inputs on them. I have a really nice receiver but it does not have any pre amp outs and I would like to use a fiber optic output to conect to a 5 channel amp. please help

Either Mirrage or Mission makes amplified speakers with digital input. The only problem you are going to have is the optical-out on your receiver in before the volume control - you have no way of controlling volume.

There are also large computer speakers from Creative and Logitec with digital inputs.

If you must have preamp outs, there are some high quality line converters that will drop your speaker outputs to line level RCA. Try a high-end car stereo installation shop.
