Just with analog, you can only use a DSP to simulate surround with a PS2. |

Rick,
Although I have not used it myself, my older model Sony PS2 has an optical digital out port. A quick search on Google confirmed that the PS2 supports 5.1 audio. So, as long as your reciever has an optical digital input port you should be able to directly connect your PS2 with an optical TOSLINK cable. |
