I have an old hi-fi system, a JVC MX-C330. It can pick up AM signals but there is absolutely nothing on FM, even when I plug in a small wire on the aerial outlet. Does this sound like something expensive to fix?

It's ok, I've found the source of the problem. It needed a better aerial fitted.
