Does NAD make a CDP for C$300? I didn't think they did anyway. The C521BEE is about C$500. CDPs don't evolve very fast, so I'd spend the $300 on a used one. I bought a "like-new" Rotel RCD-02 for about that price 6 months ago and I'm satisfied with it. Edster will tell you to get the Marantz changer for something like US$150, but I've only seen it in Canada for around C$400. Just our luck. |

Haven't heard it. I still think your best bet in that price range is a $300 to $400 used single-disk CDP, such as a NAD, Rotel or Arcam. |

Another low price contender for CDPs is Cambridge Audio. The 540C is about C$500, as-is the 540D DVD player (which some say plays CDs nearly as well as the 540C). |

I don't know your prices over there, but I very much recommend the NAD C542. |

Most CD players get the same job done. Have to figure if you want brand name or not. |
