I am considering purchasing a different pre-amp, or possibly a pre/tuner combo.

I am considering the following:

PRE only:

Carver C16
Carver C19
Phase Linear 3500
Marantz 3650


Pre Tuner Combo:
Adcom GTP 500 II
Carver CT-7

I know these are all older models, but I do not want to drop the coin for a new NAD, or Rotel etc.

This preamp will be matched with 2 Marantz 300DC amps, and use B&W 602 S2 speakers.

If anyone thinks that any of these products are superior to the other, please let me know. Money wise all about the same, except the marantz, which is about 2.5 times the price, but if it is worth it I dont care.
