I got Bose Cinemate System as a gift and I am trying to connect it to my HTR5940 Yamaha receiver. Problem is BOse only has two RCA jack as connectors, and Yamaha doesnt seem to have RCA Audio Outputs, only regular speaker wire connections. Does anyone have any idea how I can connect the Cinemate to the receiver. Problem is my TV does not have regular audio out rather digital coax out. Thanks |

The Yamaha should have a PRE-OUT section on the back of the receiver. Hook the front left, right RCAs from the Yamaha pre-outs to the inputs on the Bose. Hook the Coax out of the tv to the receiver. Set all channels except the fronts to "None" Oh.. and, Buy Other Sound Equipment As soon as possible. |

you can't connect the cinemate to a reciever... it is meant to be connected directly to a DVD player... |
