Hi. I have a Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 setup and a new stereo setup (just shipped to me). I'd like to use the sub from the 2.1s with my receiver (HK AVR-135). The sub is powered. But its only input in a DIN plug that comes from a control box (detachable- on left speaker) that controls speaker power on and sub level. The sub has its own power rocker switch. That DIN plug also receives stereo from 1/8" plug (sound card output) and you hook the speaker up through pin connectors on the sub itself. Does it sound okay to take that stereo input and use an RCA plug converter to then hook to sub out from receiver (RCA-type)?

I'd think that if you have the HK's crossover turned on, it should be ok. only one way to find out for sure... |

Chief, get a proper sub. Don't bother rigging those subs. And no, they will not sound okay at all. |
