Any Denon experts out there?
I recently bought a Denon 1802 receiver to power my Paradigm speakers. I'm having some problems.

First off, the receiver does not seem to acknowledge the DVD signal coming in through the optical1 jack. Any ideas?

Second, my sub doesn't seem to be doing anything - even when playing CDs. I'm getting sound out of the other five speakers, but no bass. Any ideas?
