I'm looking for a new cd player to replace
my beloved Kenwood dp7090.
i bought a Shanling cd t80(had it 3 weeks) but up till now
can't touch my Kenwood(t80 upgraded tubes
GE5670 and i am going to try different op amps AD826 (?))
Its a great player but strangley as big as the
transformer is doesn't have the impact of the
7090.the bass is not as low or extended either
and most importantly i can listen at high volumes
for long periods without any fatigue whatsoever with the 7090.
Any ideas anyone?have i given t80 enough time?
KIT: CD player(s) as above,AMP:Nad C370,SPEAKERS:
Leak 3080 Time delay compensated.INTERS:Cable talk
SPEAK CABLE:Naim nac4
Very strange concoction i know, but sounds amazing(which is the most important thing eh!)
PS.The kenny's starting to skip and miss read
discs hence replacement
