Any recommandations/advice on either the HSU STF-3 or Velodyne DLS4000?
I was going to go with the Velodyne but have seen alot of good reviews on the HSU.
It will be mainly used for watching movies. My room is about 20x15. Don't have a huge system, Denon AVR2805 and Canton CD50's.

get the HSU and be happy

I have the STF-2 in a room a little bigger than yours and it is more than enough.
