yes i have the same prob as a lot of others. pc wont recognise thro usb however dont despair cos if you open it up u can connect the hard drive straight to your pc and take off important files. All u need is a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter cable

Ok, i'm not as computer literate as most people on here so can you please tell me what that means?? I wouldnt know what the hard drive looks like and I dont know what the adapter cable is either. Will that fix it or just take the files off???

if the lyra is not recognised thro usb on pc you will not repair nor will thomson unless it is still under warranty. the best my solution will do is to recover your music to your pc, it is very easy to do. My lyra was still under waranty but the retailer took it back and gave a full refund. I can give detailed instructions to recover music if u want
