Hi - Hoping for some advice...

I am looking for a hifi quality sound that can be hooked up to pc or to receiver and moved around the house once in a while without moving a stack of equipment and cables.

PC speakers that I have seen dont really cut it - tried the logitech z3300(?) recently and was very disappointed with the sound.

I listen to jazz and classical at (usually) moderate to quiet volume but need to crank it every so often - so clarity and fidelity are more important than megabass.

It seems to me that something like the behringer monitors might fill the bill. But I am a naif in this realm. They get good marks from users, the price is ok, they are powered so in theory you could hook them to a pc.

So - What are the downsides to

1.) using studio monitors as listening speakers?
2.) using active powered monitors as pc speakers?
3.) using the behringers in particular. other suggestions?

Thanks for any advice....
