i'm looking for a single stage Hi Fi amplifier. i don't need more than one stage because i'm going to be running everything through a DJ mixer (pioneer CDJ1000, 2xtechnics 1210mk2 phono, apple computer, ipod)...

all the off the peg amps i've seen seem to want to put everything through different stages, which, really are going to be surplus to requirement and my thinking is rather than have 5 lower quality stages in an amplifier of x price to have 1 high quality stage in an amplifier of the sme price...

If you sre running through a DJ mixer, you definately do not need a hi fi amp.
The balanced and unbalanced loads will not work well with a single home amp.
Think commercial.

Like Marshall, and so on.
What speakers are you using for this dj setup?
Intended use?
Peavey also make good broadcast amps.
More ideas with more info, Reuben.
