I have a SCOSCHE 5 GAUGE POWER WIRE running from my battery to my amp, but I CAN'T find a 5 GAUGE GROUND WIRE anywhere in existence. Is it TRUE that I can cut a piece of the 5 GAUGE POWER wire and make it a 5 GAUGE GROUND WIRE, as long as it's hooked up correctly (Ground=Ground Outlet, Power=Power Outlet)? The writing on the cable says Ground/Power, and there doesn't seem to be a difference in the all the wires I have except the color and gauge. Someone please let me know if I'm doing the right thing and don't blow my amp!

You may find the "5 GAUGE GROUND WIRE" if you post in the CAR AUDIO section rather than the HOME AUDIO section.

We should start posting in the car audio section. Then again, I've been their once. If you think people can get out of hand here, check that section out. Some of their anons post as back woods hillbillies and and try to start race wars. Not my idea of a good time.

Agreed, Stu.
The linguistics are a bit skewed at times, as well.
Seems to be a culture raised on instant messaging, where you pay by the letter.
But happy to use CAPS. Doh!
They dwell in Subwoofers here too.

I forgot about the linguistics over there. When I can understand what they're saying (I really feel like an idiot trying to translate it), I wish I didn't.

But we do try.
