Not sure if this is the right place to ask. I want to hook up a small stereo shelf sytem and dvd player to my tv that has no rca jacks on the back of it to have surround sound during movies. Is this possible? I was told I need something like this----

One more question. Is it possible to hook the shelf system to the dvd player using rca jacks and have surround sound playing during movies?

iam looking at buying a home theater speaker package the dali new suite 1.7 pack or the jamo e855 or the e650 series which would you recommend.
