I am looking to decide between the following three configurations 1. Paradigm Studio 60, Studio CC-570, Studio Surround ADP-470, Seismic 12" Sub 2. Definitive Technologies Mythos 1, Mythos Center, Mythos Gems, 10" Supercube Sub 3. B&W 704, B&W HTM7, B&W DS7, ASW 700 10" sub The room size is 14x22x12 and open to one end in Kitchen. Use will 50% music and 50% movie. What would you recommend for an Amp/Processor that would go with any of the above choice? I will be building the system slowely with just the front pair and an amp/pre and adding the rest later. What do you select first Amp or speakers when building a system? |

In the case of Paradigm I could substitute Studio 60 with either the Studio 100 or Signature 2. |

The Paradigm Signature Series would be better or the Polk Audio lsi series for less money. For a receiver, I would get a Marantz sr-7500 |

Kamran, If you get the chance, take a listen for yourself and decide which ones you prefer. The better sound from any speaker is totally dependent on the ears of the listener. Anyone who claims that one is better over another is just using their ears as a substitute for yours. You are the only one who can make that claim. Certainly not me, I have my own preference. I can tell you what I like, but you may not like them. It is however, a good thing that you have narrowed it down to 3 choices. Are you able to have access to these speakers? What is your budget for a receiver or separates? This is important if are to throw in a recommendation.

I have listened to Mythos setup and they were very nice. There is a shop near that has B&W that I will try to listen. My budget for 5.1 Speaker setup is $4500 and Amp/Pre $3000. Rotel looks nice, Anthem/Parasound also look nice but I have to hear them. |
