Hey guys. I'm back. Sorry I haven't posted in ages. I've been busy. Anyways, a few days ago, I took a trip to Circuit city to listen to speakers. When I got there, Itested out two pairs of speakers. One pair was the Polk Audio Monitor 20's, and the other pair was the Polk Audio Monitor 30's. The Monitor 20's are bookshelf speakers with a single 5 1/4 inch woofer, while the Monitor 30's are similar to the 20's, but come with TWO 5 1/4 inch woofers. Well, when I tested these speakers out, I expected the Monitor 30's to have more bass than the 20's, but unfortunately, to my surprise, the 30's sounded thinner than the 20's. I did put my ear up against the Monitor 30's to see if any drivers were blown, and to my surprise, all the drivers were in good working order. Can anyone explain to me why this is happening?
