as noted in another post, I'm pretty close to calling alegria for some new emmas or lings, but in the meantime, I've come across some used phase techs that seem worth looking into as a second set. does anyone know anything about these circa 1997 phase tech models?
1 octave 12 sub, 1 "T" series center, 1 pr 7T floorstanders, 1 pr. bipole-dipole model surrounds
I read the long discussion on avs forum and the few here, but these seem to predate that (and it is not clear if the T is for the teatro line). I haven't been able to find anything else (except the blurb from phase tech site on 7t review)would they be worth $500?

I sold Phase Tech during the 1980's and early 90's. They were an acceptable product but they never had memorable products. To put it differently, no one I worked with wanted to buy Phase Tech speakers even when they were offered at 60% discount. Look through the used audio gear on the internet and you'll find far better speakers available for $500.
