I'm looking for recommendations for the best software package for transferring a great number of LP's and cassette tapes over to CD-R's using a Dell laptop computer with a celeron processor and Windows XP. Thanks.
I use a free program at www.audacity.co.uk (small down load plus a futher down load if you require to save as mp3(I export as wav) to transfere my cassette Lps,and music on video to my pc then onto cd. I use a mini jack from the headphone socket on my midi system into line in on the computer,record the mucic via audacity (set audacity at line in)and then burn to cd When rcording from lp or cassette leave a gap in the recording so that you can keep each track separate its ok for me hope this helps
