YES they are CD-Rs, and they work in any other player.

A friend of mine burned me a CD on the exact same brand and type of CD (Memorex CD-R 52x) and it plays just fine.

I have tried:
- Removing the ID3 tags
- Adding gaps between tracks
- Playing CDs in different slots (I have a five disc changer)

I have a Technics CD changer that my mom bought fifteen years ago.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

PS: My CDs were burned with iTunes as were my friend's, however I use a Mac and don't know if she does or not.
