I have the Kef Q-7 and the matching center channel the Kef Q-9c with the Q-1 as the rears. My question is what sub to you lean towards in the 500- 1000 dollar range? I was considering the Kef PSW 2500 , Aperion Audio Intimus S-10, Outlaw LFM-1 or the Jamo D-4. Your advice would be helpful... Thanks |

That Outlaw is a stellar buy and one of the first I would look at for HT at that price. |

Thanks for the advice... The only thing with the the Outlaw is , it comes in any color as long as its black.. The wife wants dark apple or a medium cherry to go with rest of the equipment... Thanks. |

The Hsu STF-3 is very similar to the Outlaw (designed by the same Dr. Hsu) and I think is available in other colors. hsuresearch.com |

try this... http://www.norh.com/products/sub/index.html read up on it before you decide what to do. n0rh has a cult following in the audiophile community, and it is well deserved. Their subs come in marble and teak. To say they are beautiful is an understatement. Take a look at the teak sub on the pricing page. I have heard a pair of n0rh speakers, and found them very engaging, with a very inviting personality. If the subs are designed with the same passion, you won't be dissapointed. There is also an informative section in there describing how cheap sub amps create harmonics to trick the brain into thinking bass is actually being created, and what the n0rh sub will and won't do. It is a very informative website that will tell you how to find a great sub, even if you don't like what you find here, so PLEASE take a look. |

Give either the PW2200 or the Seismic 12 a test from Paradigm. Unless money's no object or size then look at the Servo 15 from Paradigm. |

I would go for the HSU VTF-3 MKII, the SVS PB12 Plus in cherry or rosewood @ $999, or the Onix UFW-12 with R-DES (includes parametric program for balancing 100 mhz and down) @ $1099. |
