i have a sharp mini system xl-es50 and i was wondering if it is possible to hook it to my computer and how to do so if possible

If it has an audio out port (headphones or line out) and your computer has a line in port, you could record any sound coming out of the system.

You can use the headphone jack of the computer. If you buy a cable with one end being the same as a headphone connector, and the other end having the red and white connectors (I think it's called an A/V cable), there should be an input at the back of the stereo.
