I have an Acoustimass III system (1 center cube, two side cubes, and two big ugly plastic surround speakers). I want to swap out the ugly plastic speakers with two more cubes. The guys at the bose outlet tell me this won't work. I experimented at home putting one of the cubes on the surround wire and it seemed ok to me. Can anyone confirm that this would be a bad move?

Yes...using Bose speakers is a bad move.
