I have a chance to purchase some of these ancient speakers for $95, but I was wondering if these speakers compare in sound quality with modern speakers. Any help is appreciated

The Monitor and SDA series from Polk is back when the company was very serious about its stereo. Despite these lines being two decades old (when considering the earliest incarnations)... I find there is hardly a better value in the used marke - provided you are OK with a larger speaker in the room.

The Monitor 10's are compotent speakers and for $95 - is practically a steal. I'd take any of the SDAs or Monitors over any of the LSi speakers today.

In short - GRAB EM'.
