I am looking to pick up a Denon AVR-3805 Integrated Amp, and would set it up to drive some old (new in '93) a/d/s/ speakers I have - specifically the M9 Studio Towers. Each speaker is rated at 4 ohms. The specs for the Denon say it drives between 6 to 16 ohm speakers, but does not specifcally warn against nor prohibit the use of speakers outside that range. Does anyone see a problem with this set-up? I assume I'd be driving better than 160 W/ch in each, since that is the rating into a 6 ohm speaker. Unfortunately I can't find any old information about my speakers, so I don't know what the max rating is exactly, but I think the min was relatively high (70/side?)
