is it okay to use a mixer as a preamp in a home theatre setup?does anyone know where i could get a good preamp for around $200. i thought about using this peavey http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=248-817

That unit won't do much for a home theater system. You apparently only have two line inputs and there is no processing available.


What power amp are you going to use?
