I have 2 4 ohm car speakers that I would like to set up to my computer system. I don't know too much about audio equiptment, so i was wondering if anyone could help me out. Is it possible to run four ohm speakers in any way (ie series) to create 8 ohms, or does anyone know of any possible solutions. I am willing to spend $150 on a receiver |

$150 on a receiver? I'd stick to car audio if I were you. |

You can run 4 ohm speakers in serial (wire tap the negative on speaker 1 into the positive in speaker 2) to make them 8 ohms but you would need 4 speakers to do that. I would give up that idea. You can find working stereo receivers from the late 70s for $60 or less on ebay... |
