I listened to both at the "shop" and they both were great! I would like to get some opinions. Thanks in advance

A local shop allowed me to take both units home to listen on my own system. I spent lots of time moving between the two. In general, I found the Rotel unit to be superior on vocals, jazz music, even rock music. On HDCD recordings, it blew away the Arcam (which does not have HDCD capability). The Arcam however turned out a tremendous performance on classical piano (Moravec - Chopin Ballades). So, it kind of depends on your musical tastes.
