Dear Friends, The receiver a Sony STR d 865, has a problem the right and left channel output to speakers increase and decrease the volume and presents poor sound quality. I have already checked the wires and the connections are ok. Please what should I do? |

Return the Sony if you can, or get it fixed if it's still under warranty. If not, buy another receiver---anything except Sony! |

This sounds like a microprocessor problem. There's nothing that can be done by the owner with this sort of problem. It does need repair or replacement. If the unit is not in warranty, and you decide you might want it repaired, most shops will give an estimate for a reasonable cost and then apply the ammount of the estimate (usually under $50) to the repair cost if you decide to get the unit repaired.
