Hello I have currently got a decent enough seperates system, but don't have a CD player/transport at the moment...since the last Technics one died... I have three options available - 1: Use my home PC. This would be a convenient soloution, wouldn't cost much, and I can have easy access to MP3's, and play CD's. Does the sound card matter when it comesto sound quality? Is it better or worse than a normal CD player? 2. The Sony XES system. I have one of these (the P1 I think, made in 1991) a complete system for In Car audio for a while now. This is a super high end system. Can this be used for home? If so what will I need? 3. The obvious, buy a CD player seperate!

Marantz 4300, $142 shipped from accessories4less.com is a steal. Your PC's drive and the Sony car player will not be anywhere in the same league, especially if you have good speakers and separates. |

Hello, thanks for you reply. The Sony car player is real super high end with digital cables, Burr Brown D/A's shouldn' t that sound better? |
