Just bought this receiver today and when i turn it on the LED indicator stays Orange rather than blue as indicated by the manual (Tried from Receiver and remote to turn it on).

Is the unit faulty ?

P.S The recevier is not connected to anything

This is my first time with recievers

Nope
stays with that orange led all the time (standby mode it is on i think, but can't get out of standby)

Try connecting at least one speaker.

i bareboned it for the sake of testing and it always remains the same

It sounds like a faulty unit because it shouldnt be stuck on standby.
