Opinions on this speaker package?
Athena Point V MKII 5.0
Athena P300 sub
[supposedly on sale at BB 299.99 w/1 extra sat.]

Suggestions for receiver to go with above, $350.00 range?

Opinions on the quality of Athena system vs. the Onkyo HTS-760, 7.1 system w/receiver at $450.00?

As you can see, i'm far from an HT/Audiophile...but do wish to spend my $$$'s wisely.

Appreciate any/all suggestions!

The Athena system sounds a whole lot better than the Onkyo speaker system. Although the receiver would be adequate, the weak link are the speakers. They sound a little unrefined compared to the nice detail produced by the Athenas.
cheers
