I just connected a 5860 to my plasma using component video. Now, whenever I turn on the receiver, the TV turns on too...even if the input select is on tuner. Does that make sense?

I have the 2 devices plugged into different outlets.

Thanks -Dave

I solved the problem by using a different component input on the Hitachi. However it sounds like the following would work, eventhough I haven't tried it personally yet.

Dear Dave,

Thank you for visiting our website and for your inquiry.

It seems to be the Auto Link. If you go to Setup and then Set the Inputs and select Input 2, you should be able to turn the Auto Link off.

Yamahas are junk, you need to get a real receiver. Your Hitachi deserves better.
