I have a Yamaha rx-v650 receiver that puts out 95w/channel (665w for 7 channels). Is that enough power to run Energy C-7 speakers with (which are rated up to 200 watts) as my front mains? Or would I get better sound going with the Energy C-5's (rated to 150 watts)? Thanks for your feedback.

You will get better sound with the C-5s, but it has nothing to do with power rating. The larger drivers in the C-5s will mellow out the brightness of the Yammie amp; the C-7s will only compound the problem.
