on my stereo there is an 'AUX' setting. what is this? what does it do?? |

"Aux" is short for "Auxiliary", and identifies an input. |

what do i input to it?? can i hook my computer up to it?? so i can use the stereo to play the audio from music and video instead of the sh*t speakers i have |

Yes, anything. You need to connect the source, which can be a computer, to the stereo. Connect the audio output of the source to the stereo's aux input, using whatever fits. A mini-jack or a pair of RCA plugs can be at either end of the connector. There should be an aux input on the stereo. Switch to "AUX" to select it. |

To add to John's post - the only thing that won't work in the AUX is a turn table. If the turn table has a pre-amp built into it - very few do - then it will work. |
