i just purchased a Kenwood KAC-7202 amp (460wtx1@4ohms)(960wt peak in some magical land)and im using a 350 wt 12v-20a PSU, i knew in the first place it wouldnt quite cut it.. and the it turning off when i put it past 20 volume confirmed that... if i went to say radio shack what could i get something other than a PSU that i could just plug into the outlet, wire it to the amp, and it would run.. umm better if not how it would if wired to a car battery. and id rather not buy one of those

what size fuse(s) has the amp got? that indicates how much current is needed. Then try and buy a supply that matches the current.

umm i believe the amp has a 40A Fuse.. btw if im using 2 psu's do the ground wires and 12v's go directly to the connectors on the amp or is there a problem with 2 being connected to that?.. and what in my room would you think is grounded?

thanks for any help
