Hi everybody,

Any help here would be appreciated. A set of Klipsch ProMedia 5.1's fell into my lap and I've been trying to use this system (designed as computer speakers) to beef up my home theater audio. I'm using a Technics SH-AC500D pre-amp to decode Dolby Digital/DTS and outputting directly to the amp/sub-woofer of my Klipsch set. The sound is great, but to get even slightly loud I have to max out the volume control on both the pre-amp and the Klipsch speakers. The result is two annoying problems: 1) I can't really blast the volume, and 2) when I max out the Klipsch volume control, the speakers start humming pretty badly.

Is there a way for me to increase the wattage (amperage????) between my dvd player and pre-amp or between my pre-amp and my amp without me having to get a loan from the bank?

Obviously, I'm a bit of a novice so type slowly.

Thanks.
