Hey people,
I have a TEAC integrated stereo amplifier. Apart from the volume, bass and treble controls, it has a button labelled "source direct".
Does anyone know the purpose behind this button?
What is it meant for?

Thanx y'all

It bypasses the tone controls (bass, treble), giving you a shorter signal path to the amp. This could give you a 'cleaner' signal, or at least the signal the source 'intended' you to hear, depending how 'discriminating' you would like to be.
