Looking for help. I have just purchased a B&W 600 series surround set up and a Marantz SR5400 to drive the system. I have to place the receiver in a antique armoire in the living room. I only have 15" of room and lo and behold, the Marantz is almost 17" deep without connecting anything. I was not expecting this at all as all my other components are 12-13" deep. Any thoughts on a "thin" receiver which would be right for my set up?

I have the same problem. I have room for max 16" deep receiver so the Marantz wont fit.

The best options I have right now are NAD T743 (~14"), H/K AVR230 (~15") and the nice CA 540R (~12").

The 540R seems to be a great peace of equipement. Although it doesn't have OSD and setups are not so user friendly. Here are a couple guys who have it and say it's really excellent (in french):
