I've got a Windows XP (552w) with a built-in CD burner....

Can I regulate the recording level (VU meters)or does it use a form of ALC (automatic level control)? The level doesn't seem "loud" enough....

Using AUDACITY to convert LPs to .wav files....

Employing CDex to change CDs to .wav files....

Then, utilizing Windows Media Player (Nero?) to put the .wav files on a CD....

Hey, have you all seen the phono cd burner/player that so many have available for $399.00-$499.00? It is sooo expensive. I already have the computer and stereo equipment. Can this little gal from Kansas figure out how to convert all my terriffic albums to cd by reading your wonderful notes or is this "machine" any good? Any one know? I am providing a link to view the item.
