Looking for opinions on matching older external DACS with newer CDP's. I have a NAD C541 which does HDCD and has the 24 bit burr brown d-a convertor in it. I was thinking of something like an older MF X-DAC which is 18-bit. Would this be a downgrade from what I already have? I am thinking it would be an improvement. Any thoughts are welcome.
