im thinking about getting this amp to push 4 12" alpine Rs at 1 ohm. does anyone have any better suggestions on an amp? or have u heard of any bad things about the amp? im getting it for under 400 bucks so its kind of hard to pass up.

i have a lot of experience with hifonics amps. you don't even need a BX2005D to push four 12" type R's. you can max 4 out with a 1605 or even the old BX1500D. u can get a 1605D on ebay with shipping and everything for around $250.00. check it out. just make sure that u bridge it correctly to exactly 1 ohms.
