I really need some help. My cousin bought me some high end speaker wire for a great price (CL Rated Monster XPHP™ Clear Jacket - Advanced Speaker Cable)and I have no idea which is positive and which is negative. On the speaker wire that I usually buy at Best Buy, you can tell by the writing. In this case the wire is in one tube but it has to be separated. One wire is lighter in color than the other but I have no idea which it is. Can someone please help???

The lighter wire is the positive one.

It doesn't actually matter, as long as you connect the same coloured wire to the positive terminals on the amp and speakers.

The Monster cable which he has is not advertised as a 'directional' one.
