has anyone tried this receiver out as yet?i was just given one and i will like to know if there is any problems with these receivers.

I am far more familiar with the Pioneer 912. At its price it is a difficult surround av receiver to beat. But let's not kid ourselves---none of these receiver's at this price point have great amplification with all channels on, many don't have easy set-up features like OSD (On screen display) and are missing other features.

These receivers are good introductory units that perform very well in small to medium sized rooms when coupled with fairly efficient speakers.

There is no basic problem with them. These are good units at their price points.
