Hi Guys, I was all set to purchase the B&K Components AVR 505 II then the Denon 4806 came along and I was hoping somebody can tell me which unit has more value for the money. Thanks Dixlon |

Personally I wouldn't spend a lot of money on surround sound - especially the receiver, if you are interested in good music - they don't do music so well. I would get a system like this, and get a different 2-channel system if I wanted a music system. Onkyo Tx-Lr552 ($200 on the web) http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?page=proframe&prod_id=1457041 If you want to build a dedicated music system, post it, and you will get many helpful hints. Don't spend that kind of money on surround sound - you will not get much more for your money, and the music will not be that great. |

The B&K is by far better than Denon or Onkyo. They aren't in the same league. If you have a chance to buy a B&K at a reasonable price the by all means jump on it. |
