I have a Denon 3805 receiver and cannot for the life of me get the multizone feature working. I'm trying to run two outside speakers using the two extra amplified outputs (I'm running 5.1 and the 3805 can handle 7.1). I've assigned the amplified channels to Zone 3, and turned on Zone 3, and selected DVD as the source for Zone 3, but I can't get any sound to come out when playing a CD on my DVD player.

Has anyone gotten this feature working? Any tips on what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!!

Same problem here with the Denon 3805 MultiZone. Did you ever figure it out?

I've got 5.1 in the Main Zone and have connected two other speakers to Surround Back/Multi Zone. I've swithed the Power Amp Assign to both Zone 2 and Zone 3, but get no audio either way.

Defective product or user error?

You may have connected the zone2 wires into the wrong inputs.

Is the Denon not capable of running 7.1, and also 2channel in zone2??

Using the zone1 'backs' for zone2 purposes doesnt sound like the correct method of conncetion.
