Does anyone know how to cable up my digital tv decoder (has optical and SPDIF) to the back of the Yamaha HTR 5540..? I have a DVD player using the optical in and that is awesome sound. Currently have the decoder wired into the standard RCA red, white and yellow inputs for digital TV. Would love to have the audio for the decoder without disturbing what is already working well... Any ideas?

Looks like you don't have a lot of choices with that receiver having limited inputs. Does the TV decoder have coax digital or 5.1 output? Can you go 5.1 on your DVD player and use the Optical for the TV decoder?
