How do marantz receivers fare out. Pros/Cons.
Do they sound warm or bright?
What speakers do they match well with? |

You may want to make your question more specific about a model and you may get better answers. In general Marantz tend to be more warm suited towards music but generally very well received overall. As for speakers you will probably get good results pairing them with Paradigm, Ascend's, Axiom's, B&W, Klipsch and host of other depending on your budget.

I agree with Stof. My only reservation might be with the paradigm's. I had a pair of Mini Monitors and the were a tad dark. Paradigms with a warm Marantz might be too much. I have read similar concerns by posters that I respect on this forum. However, the local audio botique out here in the burbs of Atlanta likes matching Paradigm with Marantz. Auditions are highly recommended because one man's bright is another man's transparent. |

Marantz goes very well with Paradigm, at least the ones I heard. And of course with Ascends too, I have them with a Marantz 5400. |
